Why we're B Corp and what it means

The B Corp movement is gaining momentum in the UK, and with nearly 2000 companies now certified, it's likely you’ve started to see their logo popping up on more of your favourite products.

When we first started MOMO, we wanted to create a business that did things differently. Our vision was to create a company that our team, suppliers, customers, investors and consumers love and are proud of. 

We first heard of B Corp in 2020 and we immediately felt aligned with the mission and wanted to put MOMO to the test. B Corp certification is a legally binding agreement that measures a company’s entire social and environmental impact. 

On average, a company scores 50 points on the B Impact Assessment but a certified B Corp must score 80 or higher. 

In early 2022, we proudly became part of this global community, scoring 94.4 points (the highest ranking kombucha company in Europe) and formalising our commitment to use our ‘business as a force for good’.

Be responsible

We have a duty to be an environmentally, socially and ethically responsible business. Everyone in the team is expected to contribute. Some recent environmental wins include moving all our London based deliveries to electric and moving our bottle supplier to the UK to cut down on food miles.

Gratitude goes well beyond a feeling and is essential to driving the right behaviours throughout our business. These behaviours include open and honest communication, respecting our team’s work/life balance and always behaving in a manner that sustains our customers’ trust.
