If you've been buying our seasonal kombuchas, you'll have long seen the word "Natoora" proudly emblazoned on our bottles. Natoora are our close partners, ingredient connoisseurs that have given us incredible access to Europe's most flavourful fruit.

Almost all of our seasonal specials are born from our long-standing relationship. We've been partnered with Natoora for almost four years now, beginning with our famous Forced Rhubarb Kombucha back in 2022. Now, Natoora are more than a supplier – they're part of the MOMO story.

Flavour-first sourcing

Natoora seek out small-batch growers across Europe who are committed to traditional, responsible growing methods. These are typically growers who don't fit into the world of heavy industry and high-yield farming, and have continued - or returned to - more holistic and natural approaches. They grow for flavour, not scale, treating farming as a craft.

It started with a peach

In a local grocer in New York in the late 1990s, Franco overheard a request for peaches in December. That moment exposed how disconnected our food system had become. It motivated him to revisit what seasonality really means – and to build a sourcing business based on right-time, right-place produce.

Since then, Natoora has evolved into a global network, supplying restaurants in London, New York, Paris and Copenhagen, as well as operating four London stores and home delivery with Ocado.

Where MOMO comes in

For us at MOMO, the partnership with Natoora works because our values align: raw, unfiltered, always organic kombucha meets flavour-first sourcing and micro-seasonality.

Our brewing team is always on the lookout for the finest ingredients to use in our raw, unfiltered brews. Natoora bring an amazing supply of seasonal produce, and together we look for the right ingredient to pair with our naturally tangy kombucha base.

Highlights of the collaboration

Over the years, we've launched several seasonal specials with Natoora. Each tells a story of time, place and producer:

Tomlinson's Forced Rhubarb Kombucha – In Yorkshire's famed "rhubarb triangle", Robert Tomlinson grows rhubarb by candlelight in his forcing sheds. It's uses a method discovered in the area in the 1800s, that produces sweet, pink-stemmed stalks.

Green Mandarin Kombucha – Using the rare Sicilian "Tardivo di Ciaculli" green mandarin grown by Natoora's network. Launched in autumn/winter 2024 and made available through Natoora, Gail's Bakery, Selfridges, Planet Organic and Whole Foods.

Watermelon Kombucha – For summer 2025, we used "Sentinel" watermelon grown by the Zerbinati family in Northern Italy. Dense, flavour-packed fruit met our raw kombucha base for a crisp, refreshing seasonal special.

Blood Orange Kombucha – In spring 2025, we paired with Italian grower Carmelo to capture Moro blood oranges from Sicily (at the foot of Mount Etna) for a limited edition brew. The fruit delivers berry-sweetness and bright citrus acidity.

Amadora's Passion Fruit Kombucha – Launched September 2025, this marked our first Spanish-grown Natoora collaboration and the first we've done with a female producer (Amadora, Seville). The fruit is net-caught, left to drop when fully ripe, delivering high aromatic depth. Every bottle supports Natoora's Farm Fund.

Why sourcing matters

When flavour-first produce meets small-batch craft brewing, the result is deliciousness, pure and simple. But for us it's a llittle more than that - it's about capturing a moment in the season, telling the story of a grower, a place, a climate and a method. This is what Natoora insist on: meet the farmer, understand the variety, pick the right moment.

For us, it means we're not simply sourcing fruit – we're collaborating with someone who cares deeply about how that fruit grows, what its story is, and how we reflect that in a bottle.

Looking ahead

There are more ingredients in the pipeline. More micro-seasons to explore, more grower stories to tell. And as we return to old favourites, we remain committed to capturing the very best of each season with Natoora. If you're curious to try Natoora's produce directly, you'll find them in their London stores, via their app, and online.
